Cannabis LED Grow Light

Cannabis, refers to a group of three plants with psychoactive properties called Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. These plants are harvested and dried to create one of the most common drugs in the world.

The life cycle of cannabis plants can be divided into three stages: Clone, Veg, and Flowering.

Clone/Seeding

  • Maintain a warm temperature between
    22 – 27º C.
  • Keep relative humidity around 65 – 80%.
    Use low light intensity, preferably in the blue spectrum.
  • Maintain a light/photoperiod of 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness.
  • PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) should be 100-300 µmol/m2/s.

Veg

  • Maintain a warm temperature between
    22 – 26º C.
  • Keep relative humidity around 40-60%.
    Increase light intensity, preferably in the blue spectrum.
  • Maintain a light/photoperiod of 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness.
  • PPFD should be 300-600 µmol/m2/s.

Flowering

  • Maintain a warm temperature between
    18 – 26º C.
  • Keep relative humidity around 40-50%.
  • Use a higher light intensity, preferably in the red spectrum.
  • Maintain a light/photoperiod of 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness.
  • PPFD should be 600+ µmol/m2/s.

During the seedling stage, cannabis plants are considered seedlings until they develop leaves with the full number of blades on new fan leaves. It is important not to overwater the plant at this stage, as its roots are small and require minimal water to thrive.

The vegetative stage is when the plant’s growth accelerates. At this point, you should transplant the plant into a larger pot, and both the roots and foliage will develop rapidly. This stage is also the time to start topping or training your plants. Remember to increase watering as the plant grows.

LED Grow Light for Cannabis Flowering

The flowering stage is the final stage of growth for cannabis plants. It is during this stage that plants start developing resinous buds, and your hard work will pay off. Most strains will flower in 8-9 weeks, but some sativas may take longer.
Remember to maintain the appropriate temperature, humidity, light intensity, and photoperiod for each stage to ensure healthy plant growth.
